Picturing the Past, Saddleworth Museum
In 2017 I was commissioned by Saddleworth Museum to run a multi-generational project about local farming traditions. I conducted drawing interviews with three older people about their memories of life on the farm. The film clips were edited and shown to a group of young people, who then interviewed the older participants to find out more about their memories. The young people then went to some of the sites of the stories and created their own drawings. The whole project was documented in a film which is on display in the permanent collection at Saddleworth Museum.
