Into the unknown!

On Wednesday we set off on another three days of #walkingtohull. We will travel by train, train and bus to the start on the A642 near Junction 30 of the M62 and walk to Castleford where we have booked a room in a pub. On Thursday we will walk to Ferrybridge. From the river we will walk a mile down the A1246 to the Ferrybridge Service Station where we will stay in the motel. How strange it will be to arrive at a Service Station without a vehicle!

On Friday we haven't been able to find anywhere to stay, no pubs, hotels, or B&Bs. We are truly out in the wilds! If we can get to the Haddlesey Crossroads near the Eggborough Power Station by 5pm, we have two options for buses, either to Knottingley or Selby stations, and if we miss them (they are the last buses of the day!) we hope that we will be able to call a taxi from the George and Dragon pub in West Haddlesey. One way or another, we will have to get home on Friday night so Bob can go to work on Saturday.

It sounds a bit challenging, not least because rain is forecast, but we are really excited and looking forward to the adventure. We won't be posting until we get home so expect 3 days worth of news at the weekend.
